Dr. Julian Lim, Co-Founder
Dr. Julian Lim is a co-founder of Somnus Sleep Wellness and a distinguished psychologist with over 20 years of experience in psychological research. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a PhD in Psychology and Clinical Training (2010), Dr. Lim is a pioneer in mindfulness-based treatments for sleep health in Singapore.
From 2015 to 2022, he served as Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and later at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. His groundbreaking work has advanced public awareness and access to evidence-based therapies to improve sleep.
Dr. Lim is deeply committed to helping individuals achieve greater happiness and purpose in life through meaningful dialogue and the integration of mindfulness into daily practices.
Eric Lim, Co-Founder
Eric Lim, co-founder of Somnus Sleep Wellness, is one of Singapore’s foremost mindfulness experts. As the second certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher in Singapore, certified by the Mindfulness Center at Brown University School of Public Health, Eric has dedicated over a decade to guiding people through the transformative power of mindfulness.
Eric’s journey into mindfulness began on a deeply personal note. In 2013, he became a caregiver for his father, who suffered from strokes and vascular dementia. His dedication was recognized with the Young Model Caregiver (Merit) Award by AWWA.
Since then, Eric has inspired and educated over 10,000 individuals, leading workshops and talks on mental resilience, stress management, and mindfulness tailored for caregivers, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Leonard Leong
Dr. Leonard Leong is a registered Family Physician and Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician dedicated to holistic health and longevity. He holds a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), along with a Master of Medicine in Family Medicine and Graduate Diplomas in Family and Occupational Medicine.
With experience across Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Paediatrics, Dr. Leong brings a comprehensive approach to patient care. He is also a Designated Workplace Doctor (DWD).
As Vice-President and founding member of the Singaporean Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Leong advocates for the power of healthy lifestyle habits in preventing and treating disease. He empowers patients to make sustainable changes, believing that wellness begins with intentional, everyday choices.
Michelle Mah
Michelle Mah is a mental wellbeing practitioner and counsellor dedicated to helping individuals build emotional resilience. Transitioning from a marketing career, she now focuses on under-served communities, including parents facing perinatal challenges, and holds a Psychotherapy Certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.
She delivers wellbeing programs at Singapore Management University and teaches the "Healthy Living & Wellbeing" module at Nanyang Technological University. As a certified Yoga Alliance teacher, she has also led corporate self-care retreats across Asia.
Trained in programs like UC San Diego’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, Michelle integrates evidence-based mindfulness practices to empower individuals in achieving balance and purpose.
